NoveltyTube summarizes and identifies novel or relevant sections of YouTube videos. This policy explains what data is used to provide that service.

Data You May Provide

• YouTube video URL or video ID.
• NoveltyTube account email.
• Anonymous trial ID.
• Usage events such as transcript, analyze, summarize, and Listen Mode requests.
• Generated transcript, chunk, novelty, summary, and share artifacts.

How Data Is Used

NoveltyTube uses data for transcript retrieval, summarization, novelty analysis, Listen Mode playback, account access, credit metering, caching, duplicate-charge prevention, abuse prevention, support, and troubleshooting.

Chrome Extension Local Storage

The Chrome extension may store your account email, anonymous trial ID, recent playback state, and recent video state locally in Chrome storage so the popup can remember context between sessions.

Backend Caching and Storage

Transcripts, chunks, novelty scores, summaries, shares, account state, and usage ledger records may be stored on backend disk to provide the service, improve reliability, avoid duplicate work, and prevent duplicate credit charges.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. NoveltyTube does not store full payment card numbers.

Data Selling

NoveltyTube does not sell user data.
